Title: Tileset Sizes
Post by: Wizard Indie Games on July 03, 2020, 01:00:18 PM
I notice some of the default tilesets (for example the wood) are quite large. However, when I import custom tilesets (often smaller than that) only a portion of the image is available for use. What am I doing wrong?

As you're updating the tutorials could we please have in-depth episodes on this kind of thing?

Mind if you tell us the tileset's size (is it 32x32, 16x16, 128x128) and send a pic of the tileset's settings within PB?

Here's one example. It seems to be only including about a quarter of the image.

So, on the right side, it's not showing the entire image? Is that what you're saying? If you're talking about the left side, it doesn't matter.

If the tilesets aren't showing up correctly when you place them, just play around with the X and Y offset settings, and the separation setting.

aren't there supposed to be arrows on each side of the tileset window border? they should appear once your image is big enough.
if that's not the case, just divide this big tileset into two smaller ones.

Nah, that's in tileset view in the level editor.

Thanks. Yeah, I assumed the whole image should display in the left. Thanks for the tips.
