"Meet John. He was baking a cake his Sunday, after 9 hours of hard work, and multiple half-hour breaks, he was ready to taste it, but for his surprise, it was stolen by a guy named Dr. Theodore! Dr. T. left a note in the crime scene with the way to reach him and retrieve what it's yours. You need thaaaat cake"

Hi! I'm Antikore, this post is about my new game/side project: "Castle Chamber". As my main game was bugged and has to be fixed, I started this new game. This game gives you the experience that a very hard 8-bit game can give you: very detailed, custom tilesets, puzzles and also some trolling etc.

This game explodes a lot Platform Builder and does a lot of stuff with command prompt. It has 1 world, 1 boss and 7 levels, but it will have 4 worlds with 7 levels and 1 boss each one.

You only have 1 health, the player has infinite lives and will retry from the start of the level it died, but if you quit the game, when you return to it all progress will be lost, be sure of what you're doing. you only can save after worlds, be sure of what you're doing.

This game is a bit of pain if considering that beating my game needs only some time and patience. Even the first room in his game takes some time to beat but if you quit your progress will be lost. A bit bad that you can't beat some levels and continue it another day which mean I probably will have just no time to beat it considering how short is a day.  :-\
This doesn't mean, of course, it would be bad. :) It is very impressively made. Used a lot of enemies and items to create something that PB is not for yet just like I do for my project. O:-)

And maybe I even can beat that game one day, however. I played it again and realized that once I beat one room it feels no that difficult anymore. :)  Third room kept still unbeaten by me for now.

Hey! I have an idea! Anyone (even the author of the game) who wants to have a game get the award seal can do a poll to see how good the game is. Then if the author sees the poll results saying that the game wins the approval seal, then the seal gets added to the game! I guess for now we don't need Ting to add the rating system and stuff to the game.

Also, you may know I selected that tileset for world 1 because it reminds me to a very similar game called Trap Adventure 2, but that tileset was made by Shikaternia, and yes, it reminds a little to SMB2.

Great! A couple expensive power-ups would be nice. What's the point of collectables without any reason to collect them?

Less than a day perhaps about a day without any chance to save. Honestly, Antikore, your game is very good but... I don't have even any one day in a week where I have all day free so if about a day I will be never able to beat your game. I added modest rules for dying and losing all lives erases checkpoint save only in my own game because I knew I don't have time to beat my game if it has very strict rules so I have to start from the beginning on again. And even so, people are saying my game is too difficult.
No savepoint and I mean so I can continue on another day is a real problem. Your game is really good but how someone can beat your game if they even can't beat mine?  ::)

I like the look for this game. And the difficulty reminds me of both I Wanna Be The Guy and Trap Adventure 2. Level 4 so far is the only level that managed to get me. Level 3 did take some time but eventually I was able to beat it. Overall, nice work! :)

When world 2 releases and alpha 0.2 releases, the game will save each time you finish a world. So you can return to the start of that world!

Saving after each level makes no sense. Saving progress temporarily makes sense for being motivated to reach so you can begin farther once you die. Saving permanently should deal with continues if you actually lost your all lives and should have some difference with temporarily saving. Antikore's game has an unlimited amount of lives but getting to safe already after the first level is too sneaky.
If a world takes about a day to beat then I just don't have any time to beat it.  ::)  Saving for that difficult game should happen more frequently, however, but I don't agree that after each level. This game is not that difficult either.

You have a point! After all, I said by myself, that after that I beat a room it wasn't that difficult at all later. And this is what I have said about my own game. It probably just needs some practice. :)

Can be some long playing experience.  8)

UPDATE 0.2 AVALIABLE

I had some issues when publishing but seems that now works. You can now experience a brand new world full of new creatures and baddies to avoid, a new set of collectibles to collect (Obviously, they are collect-ibles) and a new epic boss with some epic music (All royalty free :D)

I've had the same problem myself. He said it's probably the servers fault. I couldn't update Mr. block, and he requested my game files. So I sent them, and he published it himself. So, try that.

I'm not progressing anything on the game due to the double jump bug, I need to test my level and I can't do it well because controls are dead. 3-1 is even harder than expected.

I decided to update the game to alpha 0.2.2 in some days, with a beta level selector, but also I had an idea: a speaker that will talk to you and motive you most of the times negatively. Each level will have one of these and unique messages in it.

Um, I looked at the rating. Why did you give it that rating? The game doesn't have Animated Bloodshed or Mild Language. If those things were in PB, it wouldn't qualify.

Also I probably will NOT finish and release the game before 6.1 cames, because I want to do a lot of things with the new features that come with 6.1 version. So after that, the release date is just undefined.

I'm right now adding the speakers that will say you things depending on your actions :D

Castle Chamber has been updated to Alpha 0.2.2 featuring a tutorial, a beta world selector (BETA) and also a fun announcer that provides you stupid messages. Nobody knows who controls that speaker/recorded those messages...

As I said, it's still in development, so the level selector may change a lot in the new versions. That's why it says "Beta World Selector"

Other important information: There is a bug at the end of the 2nd world, that's a problem because unable to complete that world. I don't know if someone had this error, but I will patch this soon! :D :D

I had no problems completing world 2 yesterday. I beat the whole game again yesterday. It's good to have a break from making games, and able to play good games. CC is #1 in my opinion. Even Level Mayhem can't compete! (No offense to Gizgord!)

One more thing. I noticed those references you put in. McPopato's, and Alley's. I have multiple designs. In fact, I started developing the designs for mulitple players yesterday! And It's not easy. I have to add clothing that the designer doesn't have. Like the cap. And Boomerang. Etc. So, which design(s) do you want?

You have to have a cap to get a boomerang. Depending on the level, and what I have set-up.

I have created a new area called "Extra options" in the hub, this place actually you can see some statistics and a secret button that actually do nothing.

I have placed a new block in each level that allows the player to return to the hub, you have to push it two times, that is a secure mode to make the player warp to the hub only if he wants, that means you can push the button when you don't want to and should don't happen anything else if you do push it again, also, it has a delay of 3 seconds, so you can press multiple times the X button without quitting if you wait 3 seconds or more between the pushes.

The only thing I have to do before finishing is the boss of world 3 and a new collectible, floppy disks, this floppy disks should don't do anything actually, they are collected in secret areas and the proposal for them are future and have something to do with extra minigames.

I finally sent Castle Chamber update alpha 0.3 to TingThing, now is pending publishing but is just... Oh, incredible. At least for me.

Changes in alpha 0.3:
- Added world 3 and it's own boss
- Added a new door in the hub. You can access your stats and a secret option
- Added a new item called floppy disk.
- Added a secret zone in world 1 for the floppy disk, I will create the rest in a future patch.
- Added an attempt counter, when you die, it will count one more. It will reset when saving, loading your game, or even changing the world.
- Added some more enemies for world 3.
- Added a quit button for each room, if you simply want to quit, this not saves the game.
- Added floor that can be trespassed from back
- Added music for the title screen
- Changed the skills of Mark and Dave a little.
- Changed the name of W1-6 from (Hello hell) to (Hello h*ll)
- Bugfix #001: Turret in boss 2 is rotated, so will kill you when completing the boss.
- Bugfix #002: W2-7's locked blue door is open from the start.
- Bugfix #003: Title screen background is moved improperly.
- Removed Herobrine.

Changed the sign in the hub
Bugfix #005: April can break in-game speakers with her flying kick
Bugfix #007: April is not disabled at the start of boss 2
Bugfix #008: Checkpoint in level W2-4 is not working properly
Bugfix #010: "Fade in" in intro/startup levels only works in first world startup
Bugfix #011: X button in W2-3 is placed in a way the player can push it two times and exit easily even when the player doesn't want to quit.
Bugfix #014: Disk's secret level in W1 has a bolt that moves improperly and gets slower and slower.

I actually don't know how to implement menus, before I created the X button was a great idea but I like very much X buttons I don't know why. But be sure that I will use it for the disk zone for minigames when the moment reaches!

I have updated CC to Alpha 0.3.2. TingThing still needs to respond, but I think it will be available at explore section soon.
Changelog:
- Added a secret button in the hub
- Changed variables in a way to fit actual PB functions. (That may cause bugs in the game because maybe I forgot some variables.)
- Fixed: Characters has no cooldown
- Fixed: Enemies spawn misplaced
- Fixed: The stat "character changes" will sum when pushing a character block, even if the character was the same.

As I lost the bug list, this update has not numerical codes, and from the next update, I will start numerical codes for bugs from scratch.

I thought that this video has been sped up. Too silly by me. :P But this means you play it notably fast. ;)

If you made this, you also should make such kind of speed runs or gameplay about the other worlds and levels also. :)

The tutorial is really easy and short compared with all your remaining game which is correct considering that it is just tutorial. ::) However, if you just made a short tutorial speed running which is all you will make it is not a very entertaining product for opening considering the time you have spent for this.  :-\

Short videos are appreciated and I admit it. People mostly don't bother to watch long videos but you should consider a trailer then as well your tutorial will not explain much about your game.

I just installed the game today, but suspect the game not working quite right with the latest
Platform Builder version.

Within the PLAYING TUTORIAL screen. I jump to 'skipping tutorial' and in 'select your world' screen
I jump to select world but always end up back in PLAYING TUTORIAL screen.

jump in many places seem to take you back to PLAYING TUTORIAL screen.
