Title: Checkpoint can be re-setted
Post by: Antikore on October 14, 2018, 12:49:36 PM
If I pass through a checkpoint, and then I pass another checkpoint. Can I pass again the first checkpoint and will be set again?

When I played your game at the same time you watched your underground course allowed to go back to a previous checkpoint. All I know is that after that you leave the course and come back the checkpoint when playing is considered to be uncached again although in reality our progress has been saved. I haven't tested if the used checkpoint saves the progress again and if it removes everything collected and used falling platforms or if it just saves the position.

You really should test if you can beat your level yet after that you go back to a previous checkpoint and die.  ???  Just in case...

I mean, in the same course but different area. Doesn't matter the area really, I only mean if you pass a checkpoint, and then another checkpoint, going to the first one. What happens?

Good question. I have thought about something like this also by myself but currently, my game has no such things. Create a fast test game that has something you described but easy enough to pass this fast and test it quickly and you can see! If I want to create something bigger than one area only but I am not sure how or if it will work then before making this for my main project I make it for another slot where all smaller tests have been made only thing that I create no challenge for testing such things fast. :)

I don't think there's a way to control this. Meaning going to a previous checkpoint.
