Title: Platform Builder 6.2
Post by: TingThing on November 03, 2018, 09:59:04 PM
Hello Everyone,

Platform Builder 6.2.0 has been released on GameJolt (https://gamejolt.com/games/platform-builder/182115), Itch.io (https://tingthing.itch.io/platform-builder) and Indieexpo (http://www.indiexpo.net/en/games/platform-builder-a3-0), and will soon be available on Steam. I just wanted to give you a chance to try it out and make sure that everything is working nicely before I put it live on Steam. Click here to see the update log (https://theplatformbuilder.com/forums/index.php?topic=726.0).

Platform Builder Standard is free on these websites. If you own the DLC for Pro on Steam, then Platform Builder will run as Pro, so long as Steam is running in the background.

On a different note, Platform Builder Pro was removed from Steam and Itch.io, making it only available as a DLC on Steam, and is only available in version 5.3 to those who currently own the program on those websites. Hopefully by now, all Pro users have moved over.

As always, the command prompt page (https://theplatformbuilder.com/Command-Prompt/) has been updated to show all of the new Commands. There are quite a few new ones. Here is a brief overview:

So much for letting us "try it out." I can't even try it. I have tried again, and again to use even standard. Steam always is launching 6.1 standard! Ugh! It is so frustrating!

I think you uploaded the PB steam files for the previous version. So, I can't try out 6.2 at all! :( :( :( :( :( :(

Oh interesting... the package is literally 6.2 but it forcefully reads from Steam's version. I was not expecting that. In that case I'll update Steam as well so that it all directs to the proper version.
