Title: Scrolling in Editor
Post by: Wizard Indie Games on June 29, 2020, 06:25:39 AM
When editing a level how can I scroll the level to access currently off-screen areas? I saw it in one of the tutorials but it wasn't explained.

Yeah.... I'm going to redo those tutorials soon. They are really out of date and missing important details like scrolling the view around.

To move your view, use ASDW keys on your keyboard. Or with num lock on, you can use 4682 on your numpad keyboard. Or you can drag the view around by holding the middle mouse button.

I always thought it was WSAD. Never heard it ASDW.

You never finished 'em either. Next time, record in FULL HD, and use that fancy microphone, and make them a little more...engaging!

I didn't intend to write those keys in any particular order. But you're right; it's most common as WASD.

Recording for new tutorials have already begun, by the way.

I suggest you record a bunch first, and then you release them all at once. Be sure to make them a bit more professional, since PB is on steam and all. Your new tutorials deserve to be a lot more polished and engaging.
