Invasion: Going Personal About the game



This is a game that represents a way how my platform game would look like. Below you can watch more screenshots about the project.













The latest updates

The screenshots about the game should be self-explanatory enough. Below you can read about some of the updates made for this project.
  • Splash screen has been added.
  • Title screen has been changed. Christian Game Maker's logo for this game and Antikore's difficulty ratings have been taken in use. Referring to The Gruppy Leader have been moved now to a scene.
  • Advanced menus have been added.
  • Land of Dreams have been improved, updated and separated to be a separate game type at the beginning of your progress. In a normal(story) game type Land of Dreams can be accessed last to unlock all beaten levels.
  • More important advanced scene cuts have been included.
  • Shops allows you to improve your health and simplify your progress.
  • Achievement rewards can be now gained for your progress.
  • Electricity generated by the electric fields cannot be defended. You now just must pass those by timing.
  • Small spiked ball obstacles in Technology Center have been replaced with a big spiked ball. Those big obstacles are more difficult to dodge and also disallow you to survive just by setting a defensive stance in an elevator.
  • Scene cuts have been improved, updated so those can be now skipped.
So if looking at the screenshots then the news confirm you can become really healthy for your progress now by improving yourself in the shops and achievements hopefully will motivate you to act more determinedly.

Re: Super Adventure: Reloaded I already commented about it on YouTube. :) You see how easy it is actually to make something special with PB. It just needs some imagination and focusing because it is really not that type of application that needs to be learned long first. ::)

Re: Hello, there is cbecvil Hello, cbecvil! :) Every game needs a time to make. Even if it has been simplifized a lot for us it needs time to make a plot and build design. So your needs for patience is completely understandable. :)

Re: Casey is here to make the pixels look nice! Hey,  Casey! It is completely understandable that it can be hard to participate in a global chat if there are much good to work on. And there are also responsibilities at home and at job.
I share the same case with you. :) There are so many things to get inspiration.

Re: It's-a me, Jalli! Hello, Jalli! :) Yeah, that is what is very good thing in Platform Builder. It allows to create a complete and good game and serves even them who have no skills in programming but have a lot of ideas and dreams to make reality. PB actually got my attention even its Alpha stage because even then it was more complete than most of toolkits out for fans and it is super easy to use. Now, it is basically a game creator tool rather than a game although systematically it is a game that can read anwrite massive amount of files of data.

Re: Is there an option to change the sprites of the player, enemies etc? Hi, Borpy! I agree with the others. :) Actually, I and several of other our people have made even more than advertised to be possible also before unlimited sprite and command manager. Platform Builder is just flexible enough to allow you make everything you imagine.
You just have to be ambitious and inventive. Even errors and glitches can't stop you if you want something because PB is auprisingly stable to use and have a lot of other ways also to try.

If you have no other programs nor ideas to get inspired from then I highly would suggest PB. You can be lazy at first but may enjoy later what you have done by yourself very much and that is what may kill your lazyness. ;)

Customizing keys for a Builder... First I would like to say Hi to all old and new members also. I haven't participated in a PB community anyhow for long mostly because of lacking time and being unable to be productive...
Anyway, whenever should prioritize doing something with PB I can't do it easily because my keyboard is broken for long already. Interesting I even haven't thought about it much but yeah... Most of keys are working but some very important keys not. It won't stop modding Doom nor testing it because keys can be changed which is possible in PB but only for gameplay.

My suggestion may also be useful for them who may find editing game would be more comfortable with another keys.
