Working with Platform Builder / Re: Making a one sided wall.

@Mr. Air
I looked into this and found an inefficent workaround. It might be buggy, but at least it won't soft lock. It's not complicated, thankfully. https://theplatformbuilder.com/forums/index.php?topic=1738.msg10944#msg10944

Suggestions / Re: One sided walls

I've wanted 1 sided walls for some time. The only work around I can think of is inefficient. Basically it'd be a setup of command blocks and spawn blocks.

The way I'd do it, is place spawn blocks on the wall where you have those 2 sloped blocks. Then put expandable CMD blocks on each side of them that loop every time they're touched.
Off to the left side (judging from the prespective of your video) of the building, in the CMD block write,

for nearest block (Block ID) delete (create a custom block with a blank sprite you can't see, with any dimensions you choose, preferably 32x32 like your invisible blocks, oh, be sure to delete your invisible blocks as well, and don't type this into the command block, this is just a note)

Then in the other CMD block on the opposite side of your invisible blocks which you should remove, as they'll do nothing but cause probably worse glitches than before, write,

spawn block (Block ID) , (Spawn Block ID)

You may have to add more expandable CMD blocks around the area as needed (like below the new spawn blocks) in order for your character not to glitch with the new blocks.

So that explains the corruption!

@warrior I can't argue with you that I haven't been that helpful lately, and it's mostly because other than these fourms, I'm very disconnected from PB, and I help when I can, but I've just not really checked much into solving problems, since other people seem to be fine answering questions. Though there is something I have not stated, which is that PB's been broken, and I did check for file integrity yesterday and apparently when I was messing with Re-Shade files, I apparently erased a PB file, so it did re-download the file, and I haven't tested to see if PB works. I did this to do saiwong a favor in testing his game like I said I would. Me not being able to open PB has discouraged me from looking into things somewhat, which is one reason I haven't been super helpful here. If I know how to do something already, and I'm sure it works, then I'll give my advice, but if not, I usually don't say anything to help resolve the problem. I'm sorry about this, and I'll do better in the future. ;) Thx, Warrior.

@warrior Most of the time when I don't answer a question I don't have a really good answer.
And I was just trying to clarify things. That's it.

@warrior Just so you know, (just for clarity) checking file integrity only makes sure that you have all of the files you need for your game to work. That's it. And PB doesn't have many files, just the exe, and an extractor program and...well, that's pretty much it. So checking file integrity I doubt would help much.

@warrior I'd hope you didn't use any nsfw avatar.
I'm not really the random-type.

Well, lets just say there was an awful period of time for the USA during the 1960's. And a new "lingo" got developed which today is more or less known as "hippie lingo."

IDK what you mean by that last part of your message.

Oh, and a really like that avatar. Probably like that one better than any other one you've had. It looks nice, and less random. Looks like it was made in blender, too.

@saiwong3268 I'd be happy to help you out. You can DM me on Discord. I'm on Antikore's Platform Builder server called Plugger's Zone. You can find me and DM me there. That is, if I'm not on your friends list. I don't remember if you're on my friends list or not, sadly.

@warrior No offense, but I find your DK avatar to be rather cringy. I still miss your original roblox avatar.

@warrior Maybe it's better that way.

« on: October 29, 2020, 03:06:33 PM »
No, there is no limit if you have pro. I don't think you can upload sprites in standard.
I have imported well over 100 sprites into my ASM game, and there is no limit to loading anything into PB. Just as long as your PC can handle it all, it's fine.

Sounds like 60's lingo.

@warrior You've played the pilgrim's progress game? IDK much about it, but I love that book. (From what I know of the game, it's pretty cheesy)

@TingThing
GMS2.3 isn't compatable with UPE. ^ Be sure to write that down.

@TingThing I haven't used PB in awhile, and I haven't written commands in awhile either. But I do know that when I was using it a lot, I was using random commands, and as for common ones, I used variables a lot, (a whole lot) and other things, but I used so many, it's hard to put it into a list.
