It is nice to see my username still being noticeable with a few others. ::)
I, however, just ask for pleasing curiosity... A splash screen is meant for representing the creator of the game but your Splash screen is rather just like a credits section if you really plan to add this to your game. :) Does our names exist in your game because of you gaining ideas and inspiration from us?

Tutorials / Re: How to fix the blackline bug using Tileset Champion
« on: August 01, 2019, 05:55:30 PM »
I must admit although I am that guy who has been succeeding with everything no matter what I want to do with PB and I am not that guy who asks much help...
However, I also have had a problem with that blackline bug and I communicated with TingThing about it. He also suggested me to use Tileset Champion but nothing worked for me. Tileset Champion changed the look for my tiles even when I was doing things with guidelines by TingThing and also... It actually didn't solve the problem for me so because I didn't build any close-range levels I decided to quit because it took really a lot of time...

You could learn that Tileset Champion and even make a businesslike tutorial like it would be made by TingThing himself. :o I must say, a real pro!

Anyway, Happy 5000 posts to everyone! :)

The name is "The Simple Quest" although it is not that simple. :) I would suggest you play it from the beginning to the end. It is not done and having only 1 world it is not a very big game now. It has some mentionable cons like custom enemies using faster and lazier methods to give a new look rather than having their own custom drawing but the game has some really advanced mechanics and interesting and decent storyline which ends with the best thing ever, a boss.  O:-)

Okay, addressing TingThing, seeing as you aren't a christian Alley, I can understand how you would think TingThing fits to be in a "God" section. But, to put things in proper perspective, compared to us vs God, we are nothing like Him at all. We're worse than the worst thing in this universe. We're even worse than a vicious animal. Animals can't tell right from wrong, but we can. Yet we do wrong anyway. God has many attributes (characteristics) that we do not have. He is omnipresent, meaning he's everywhere. Not just everywhere in the universe, but also everywhere in every instant of time. He is 100% perfect. He can't do anything wrong. He's never made a mistake, and He never will! He also is many other things. Which we don't perfectly posses. Though TingThing and I are Christians, we won't be completely perfect till we get to Heaven. So, just because we believe in God, doesn't mean we should be put into that position. God is perfect. Can you say you're perfect? He is Holy. He can not allow sin in His presence. We are sinful, wrongdoing creatures. Are you holy? We can only be in 1 place, at 1 place in time, and cannot be everywhere. These are only a few of the hundreds of attributes God has.

In response to my section, Alley, I've known for quite some time that ASM has had some serious bugs. I've been working on resolving those issues. I don't think that because I haven't released a game, or that because some people haven't released very good games, or no games at all, I don't think that's a very good way to judge. IDK what would be a good way to do a tier list. Plus, now that I think about it, it is your very own tier list. And you can rank in any way you want. So, I'll take back what I said. And Alley, I do want to release a demo. And I probably could even now. But currently, I want to do serious work on it, and release a great good demo which will blow you away. It's kind of like Mario kart Tour. (MKT is an upcoming mario kart game for mobile phones.) Nintendo was going to release it a long time ago. But they decided to do major improvements. And now, since they've done that, it's become a great Mario Kart game. All because we gave them time to make it great. Right now, ASM is something to talk about, look at, etc. But it can be made better. And I'd rather just release something that you guys will spend hours playing before stopping. Anyway, so, that's my response to that. ;) But I'd also change the words. So that instead of saying EG, "God Tier", how about, "Awesome Games" or, "Game Developer." As for me, you could say, "Good games, but games are released slowly." IDK. Just some suggestions. ;)

I am not a Christian and I think you know it. :) However, I didn't address TingThing to "God" section because of his faith. I addressed him to a "God" section because he started it all. He created the engine for the games and the community and he is so like our creator(God) somehow next to us but I don't compare anyone with the biggest and actual God. :) You are Christian also, and I didn't address you to a "God" section which should prove that no decisions made by me have something to with someone's faith. ::) I think, I wanted to say just that it is an interesting fact that TingThing is intelligent having skills and faith into God and being in the "God" section at the same time. :)
I don't agree that animals have no ability to make a difference from right and wrong.  I often can experience even that they have more ability to do that than humans and... Right, we humans can be at the one place in one time only which I personally think it makes me very limited very often but also, I don't think God is much more powerful with that. Earning money almost every day is where I think that God can't see me nor feel my pain especially if thinking about a lot of people who are in even more serious situations than me.

I want to mention also that I wasn't that one who started tier lists over the people. But I know, people often like to rank anyone and I really often can't understand what are the reasons because of their decisions so I wanted to seem more objective and explained about the whole thing. ::) It may be true that Nintendo and some other companies may need some serious time for making something bigger rather than something limited but I also know that a lot of people from this community strives to move from one thing to another and quit incomplete things very easily. So I think judging from what we can see currently is very reasonable and ranking can be changed any time. It is nonsense to compare lonely fans with a paid and motivated team nor companies.
However, I agree that those tier lists are currently too simple... Good or not, it is often quite difficult to put some games or people on a bad or good section because sometimes they deserve a place in both sections considering their pros and cons. ::)

I think I should be on low or no tier because my games, being so advanced (that's what people thinks), are really small or I don't finish them, and that's not good from a developer. But thank you, I didn't thought I'm was that important here :)
You are, for sure right in things you are mentioning as your cons and I also appreciate you being modest but... You still have been succeeded in making your small and incomplete games so that those look and feel as complete and those are mostly always fully decent and very beautifully designed. I know, I still can nag you for not completing your first bigger project nor even repairing it but at least you offered something another big and awesomeness for us. So I think, I didn't ranked you too much higher than you deserve. ::)

that's a good tier list!
Yeah, I thought that some people may still agree with my tier list, however, no matter, it may be a bit surprising but stark also. Anyways, thank you for your comment on my list! 8)

Welcome back, McPotato! :) I am happy to see you again. To be honest, I thought we lost you already that quickly but now when you are back then I can say...
One your game at Explore is very decent and its final boss is just awesome, actually, the only boss from PB community so far that have so interesting and different states that fits all into one like from SMBX. 8) I hope you will continue with this project very soon.

Completed Sandbox Levels / Re: BLAZING PLAINS (#ASM)
« on: July 28, 2019, 06:20:17 PM »
Although your level has 3 health points lava is not the only threat to be considered as lost immediately because when you lose the platform you can't beat that level anymore with a current attempt. However, I beat your level with some attempts. 8)

Now, I would like to ask if your character is a brother for the character from IGP? :P

Mechasaur's own PB game... :) Wow. To be honest, I even didn't expect that for long already. I think you are improving as a PB member not only being a fan but also with you talk which have more explanations, direct opinions without too many hints, etc.

For now, I am curious how your PB game will look like for us. 8)

Your project is going to get some very nice overdone. :) To be honest, in my opinion, one con in your project has been that your graphics have had always, black lines and simple coloring inside the shapes but this is what has been changed now a lot.
It seems you also add a lot of new things that you previously didn't and your project is looking even better.

In one moment, just take a breath and complete finishing any unfinished levels, scene cuts and systems and you are for sure ready for a very nice demo. 8)

Well... If I understand your ratings/tiers properly then here is also my rating about the users mentioned.

I also would like to explain to myself why I positioned users like this:
  • TingThing: Because he is the creator of PB and without him, our games wouldn't be possible. He is so like a participant for creating all those games we have because of his system. He also believes in God which makes him suitable to God tier perfectly. And let's not forget he also has his own personal PB games wherefrom Example file is very well made also. :)
  • Antikore and Alley(me): Sorry for putting myself that up but we work on some really complicated PB systems and some advanced game design also but unlike me, Antikore's games have been got some real progress to look like complete and he is an author also for several games.
  • Gizgord and Seggaw: Seggaw left us very soon but he made one very good game, let's be honest. Gizgord also completed his game and is still here. Some of his levels are also that well made with complicated PB techniques so his game can be considered even with a "High Tier" title. ::)
  • CGM Games: He works on a lot of very complicated PB mechanics that have been impressed even me and his game can give some really decent gaming experience also but he seems like never release a decent Demo which would be available from Explore and without bugs and glitches. If he just would release a Demo with considerable time, completed scenes and levels and without any major bugs and glitches he could be considered freely as good or even with a "High Tier". :)
  • Yann2008Yt and Setapdede: Let's be honest! None of them have released very decent games for us to play. Games are lazy, incomplete levels and/or no logic in tile selections.
  • Warrior555 and Mechasaur: Let's make this one simple! Users who have no games for us to share can't be above the others. We can see some activity by Warrior555 but I often can't understand what Mechasaur is really doing here. He has protected and supported my game very well which is some type of honor from a critic like he is but we can't call him a good PB game creator because of this only. :-\

It is nice to see that one of your videos with a sound again. ::) It is much more pleasing to watch with sound. Also, it is nice to see that you make a lot of progress with your game. I hope it will be ready for Explore soon also.
And hey, thanks for considering me as a supporter! ;)

I would like to ask about the level selector. Is it made in UPE? If you made it purely with a PB then you have done a real invention. :)

Announcements / Re: Featured Games on the Explore Section

I think we can live without that. Level Mayhem is trash
I feel really happy that my game in your small list is one of those that broke your really tough judgment, I even admit it and I really would like to say thank you for your willingness to say this out. However, I think Level Mayhem is actually a very good game when you experience this from the beginning to the end and it also has some super cool levels. :) There was old times when Level Mayhem seemed to go in the list as the most of creations from Explore. Now, Level Mayhem is actually somehow similar to my project considering it has a lot of types of levels but where only middle and boss fight levels are special ones. I just haven't done that many levels yet. Maybe Level Mayhem just need a better trailer that would show the best from the game in a very short time so every watcher would notice. ::)
In addition, to it PB Explore have actually also some more quite a good games that someone else does not mention and would for sure be worth of being in Featured if those authors just would continue working with their projects. :)

But yeah, I must agree with you that most of games and levels are complete trash like you say. I can say that because they will not see what I am saying. ::)

I don't know if I can call myself original game user completely because my ideas have been inspired by the other games but yeah... I can call this game as my own completely considering it is not a remake from a certain game, it has all unique levels, it does not try to make graphics to be the same or similar with a certain game other than PB and it has a completely stand-alone storyline. :)

165
Yeah, I believe that too. ::) Of course, I didn't start IGP from a time on when the first version of PB came out already. But I saw one video about TingThing working with PB and I was waiting long before PB really came to us. There was a long silent period after that I saw a video about PB so it was possible that TingThing decided to cancel it, however, but I still expected it to come silently. Then it came and I wanted to start my main project but I had a lot of difficulties to make decisions so I started a new project several times until I finally decided to create no remake nor game with certain rules. I decided to start with IGP which is my own idea completely and which have any level that I have in my mind. :) It was long before big sprites for the bosses were possible. This was that time when I already tried to make my own bosses. :)

I have tried to make whatever I want with PB... I can say that I simply have had faith in PB considering TingThing's programming skills, persistence, and his personality also. :) There were some times when PB was really limited also for me but hey, it was just started and being a bit weak was absolutely normal.  ;) I know how much time it takes everything to make for me so I just worked on things I could do in the same time when PB got stronger also which allowed me then to start much more complicated things. I for sure had faith in PB becoming much more advanced than most of fan game toolkits but it became even better than I could expect.
