General Discussion / Important request for developers...

Please, always when making a game bother to make a lazy screenshot about this at least when playing!::) There was an old-time when there were no many games at Explore and so I always knew what was checked out and what's not. I always have checked for a new game but my PC needed to be reset and there are quite a lot of games already. PB does not show what's played and what's not if PC has been reset plus I have no time to play all games again that can't be separated from each other because of the same image that shows when no screenshots made. This is why I may leave your game unplayed when you don't bother to upload a screenshot at least. Even if Explore show about the new games because several new games may have been uploaded but Explore seems to show an icon of new games only once.

I believe that all frequently active members bother to upload one lazy image at least and people who made most of the games full of laziness will not bother to register anyways. I, however, hope that some of them at least read the post from this forum and take me seriously. Other people may have the same reasons as I have... :P
I also would like to suggest now Ting_Thing add some warning about the same thing I described here when you don't bother to make even one screenshot or even banning the games with no screenshot. :) Because of why maybe I should have written to a Suggestion category but this topic even should be taken as an Announcement.  C:-)

I played this and it is beautiful and unique as your other games strive to be. :) I did not make any hardcore moves but careful and sneaky movement allowed me to win in a first try.
I also was able to discover that turrets can destroy slime enemies. This made me use those for my own good here and there. ::)

Even I have beaten Turbo Tunnel.  ::) Although it took years to do that and when I really did it my heart beat like crazy. :D
This game is not impossible. Some games just have been meant to be played by super hardcore players. Also, would an official company release the game if it would not be possible to beat? :P

I think the beginning cutscene don't show anymore the narration text
Also you should add an option to skip cutscenes
I tested that cutscene quickly just to see if the narration text is really not showing anymore and for me, it shows. ???
About the skipping, I can say that I removed it because you can cut off from scene cuts also by Returning to the world and without any gameplay progress yet there are no differences between Skipping and returning to the world. Also, PB does not allow to pause when being in collision with a door because the same key for this then should enter the door instead of pausing. If none of those are the case of yours then please, describe your problem to me more closely, send some screenshots or something else so I maybe would be able to understand what you are experiencing.

That is okay and even professional to have a basic and simple boss first. :)
It is more difficult in IGP because IGP has mostly the same opponent on the player's way. ::) Although, in the third world he gives a pass for a Metal Plugger to take on the hero. :P But I admit my bosses do not push any PB limits. I started to make the first bosses when it was basically possible to make bosses with PB using small enemy appearances. Now the possibilities for making bosses are much bigger but I am not going to change the plot for this game.

SMBX community has a lot of bosses to show and there is a lot of YouTube content where their bosses can look very attractive from thumbnails. The fact is that most of the bosses are just sprite edits from the few already existing sprites and people aren't even able to give players a more reasonable way for defeating bosses than cheat box that gives an unlimited amount of supplies for no reason. ::) Watching all of those content become boring because it's like an infinite loop of the same boss moves and attacks.
I wish that more people from the PB community would try to make their own unique bosses to stream on YouTube. It would be really entertaining to see a lot of final bosses like from McPotato's Simple Quest. O:-)

I've played around with SMBX, and it can't do hardly anything PB can do. PB is SUPER AMAZING. It can do incredible things, like yesterday I attempted to make custom physics, and I was able to after trying different methods, I finally reached a point where I was able to make some really cool gameplay by allowing my character to walk on walls. So, PB is the way to go. Ditch SMBX and Mario Builder today!

(I just can't help but advertise how neat PB is, I guess.)
Well, what I can understand from our conversation is that we both think very well about PB. ::) Maybe a difference is that you don't think that much about SMBX. Or maybe the reason why you correct me is that I didn't describe very well about where I don't like bosses very much, in SMBX or in PB.

With this video, you can see which one I was talking about and that the ways to make bosses in SMBX are actually very limited. PB actually have quite an endless possibilities to make special bosses and I even imagine what PB can do. SMBX just has a lot of developers who have tried to make the bosses look special but PB community visibly have only one member who made a very unique boss with health and behavior states etc and this is one who made Simple Quest. But PB actually is an application that can do a lot of types of special bosses without just editing the sprites.
This is just an example but PB allows us to make even big things with ease. If talking about SMBX bosses, for example, then I have seen couple things that really impressed me honestly but I wasn't able to do something like that and I am not sure if it is easier to use SMBX or a game creator application from scratch for making really good bosses. ::)

SMBX is a very interesting tool and it has a lot of interesting games but as a developer, I exited SMBX very soon. In PB, I saw a long potential even when it wasn't released yet. ;)

Thank you for giving me that position, setapdede! :) I am glad that someone still rates my effort very well even when I am not active here for a very long time already.
I can't rate myself but I can rate your Tier list also by mentioning the last field. People often strive to categorize things with "God" and "Trash" like rating but it is actually not very right to call everything trash which doesn't bring more good games. People who, for example, haven't made their own games or who mostly even don't discuss PB can't be rated to be good nor bad. They rather should be left outside of the competition. C:-) If you can't rate the game nor the person for some type of reason you also can leave them out from the competition. That is very objective and also honoring everyone's effort.

That seems to be the same problem as when I am reporting about something which gets confusing because no one else reports about the same. Perhaps maybe, I am making something wrong and sometimes it is like that also. But I am very sure I am still having problems with the managers which I finally basically agreed to leave as it is because it makes no impossible for me to improve my project.
However, not everyone is always active nor fast to report everything and now when not only 1 member having some certain type of problem but actually the equal or even bigger part of the community are having the problem and few people don't have this then it can be taken as an evidence that some things can work differently in different computers.

I also understand that some things may be very difficult to detect, prove and fix because of that especially if there is only one developer per a very big thing. ???

We are glad to see you here! And yeah, the more you use PB the more you get into it... Or even if you get tired at last, you will get back into it probably when someone's project has been improved to be really good already and you see that. O:-)
For sure, express your questions and let us know about what are you doing in PB! I must admit, I myself am not businesslike with PB at the current times but there are a lot of people who would be glad to help out really quickly.

Hello, Saoirse! :)

That's nice to see here one more new ambitions and game development loving member. Yes, PB is very unique and also a very powerful application for doing a lot of things with ease even if aiming something special. Even SMBX does not have everything of what PB can do if giving an example where you only can make the same bosses with different sprites with ease only. ::) I hope you will keep yourself mentioned about you using a great solution to make nice things!

Nice! :) With this "River and Fury" works as it should again.
Also, I warned about this level being slow in some type of conditions but... Maybe I imagine this or haven't made much progress with PB lately but this level seems to lag less than before. O:-)

Christian Game Maker's game is going to look really good. O:-) I have complained about it having too many effects and too simple graphics but I feel both of those have been balanced and improved with time now. Good work! ;)
