Speed and Max Speed commands

Actually you can change speed for the player with speed command, but this really modifies the max speed the player can achieve.
So I would suggest to change speed to max speed, and use speed to change the current speed of the player.

"speed" and "max speed" are the same command. But if you want to change the actual speed of the character, you could set the max speed to the new speed you want, and then crank the acceleration to 100. This way the character will hit maximum speed almost instantly.
