how about a shortcut for testing? instead of hovering your cursor over to the button. let's assume it's 'H'.
H starts 1P testing, Shift+H starts 2P testing.
while I'm on this subject, you can't Esc. out of 'Enter a spawn ID' window. why not? you have to move your mouse and close the window that way.
