There are animations by default in Platform Builder but there is no manager to create your own, that must be in Platform Builder to make it more enjoyable.

The Sprite editor already does this.

Oh, I actually created a large explosion using custom sprites, an enemy, and some other stuff. But still, a way to edit that stuff would be cool.
