Static Background option for BGs

Backgrounds are actually pretty good but will be awesome if it can have a static background option, as in some old games.
Static Background will make the background don't move along with the player, x nor y. That means it will stay the same doesn't matter where the player actually is. I also even prefer to have this option for each layer instead of for the entire background.

What about setting your background depth to "very far"?

Its ironic : Back in the old days, our ancestors used static backgrounds and were happy to discover the moving backgrounds.
And today : We have moving backgrounds with excellent parallaxe effects and our problem is that we can't make static backgrounds.

That works horizontally but not vertically
