We had a discussion about my post having a word such as "damn". Now, I see some posts having a word such as "curse" which is quite similar to "damned". One of those has been made even by our old good Cristian. It is like karma to allow me explaining how pointless is to nag with every little thing which is even a bit questionable. :P
Maybe my English is not enough to always seem right but I always have tried to prevent any swearing here by myself although I am not Christian and make no big deal if other members are swearing a bit. This time, I even didn't worry nor think my post can be categorized to a swear post because I didn't swear like "damn it" or such but I was just like impressed about how did I curse a possibility that the next new member may be gone soon again. You see how difficult is actually to be 100% decent, child-friendly and preventing actually very regular words such as "damned". Doing so, we may face the fact in the future that we even can't name our levels because in a game there are always some bad guys related to ghosts and curses. And even TingThing's latest boss from Example file will say "Curses!" once beaten which is a bit type of swearing. I just wanted to mention that there is really no point in nagging everything questionable. ;)

Instead, we should question and limit short posts with a direct insult including "carbage". Fortunately, we have no much members doing that here but this type of action can be much fewer children friendly than a bit of swearing because here from the forums we can lower someone's confidence from a very young age on. C:-) This type of action is unpolite and causes a lot of damage to the children's mind in the schools.

ah yes, I also see how difficult it is to cater to the children on the forums

how dare they complain about colorful vocabulary on a level editor forum such as this

I consider PB not to be a level editor, but rather a game maker. And I don't think "curses" is a bad word. If I am wrong, (I might be) then please show me how. I've heard that sometimes used from trusted sources of mine. Though I wouldn't use the word myself. I think it might be a slang word. It probably is.

In the topic called "I can't even start PB" I posted "I just like would have damned things with my words. :P ". My goal is not to question if your post is allowed or not but you even seem to not understand about what I am talking about. If "curse" is not a bad word then why "damn" is? It was you who was going to question about its legality as you have done often with other people posts also. "Curse" seems to be an alternative word to "damn" like bot and robot... Or at least Google Translate gives it quite the same result to my language.
Even although TingThing accepted your opinion I think there is really no reason for questioning often other people post for even little things that can be nagged on if really not detecting real direct profanity or swearing. Otherwise, you may even not notice when you may make a mistake by just posting seemingly very normal things. :)

I don't agree.
as TingThing said - he wants to keep these forums applicable for all ages, at least with the wording. you can think it's silly, but those are the rules.
"Curses" is similar in meaning to "Damn", sure. however, they're not equal. every main swear has a softened equivalent for a reason.   :-\

It is silly! :) I even don't know about how equal "Curses" and "Damn" is or not because... Remember, I am not an Englishman! And this is actually one thing where people may not understand me nor understand if I am swearing or not. Anyways, I think we all have learned that most of us here are not Englishmen but even children at a very young age on can use Google Translate. And so also I can. I just type what Google Translate offers to me or something that I remember first. So if this is how I can break the "rules" then also the most innocent children can? :o
I break no rules with it when I even don't know about what I am doing because of not knowing all the softest words for everything. And there is no reason to nag on every little thing. There are much more important things going on in these forums than this one. :)

I guess language barrier is a factor, didn't think about it, really.
to be fair, this topic sparkled little controversy, that's why I wanted to draw attention to it. :)

Are you kidding me?!? Curse is not a bad word, or a slang word, or anything like! Even if it is an unpleasant word while talking of christian religion!

Not true. Plus, I don't think saying curses is a bad word to use.
