Hi, Borpy! I agree with the others. :) Actually, I and several of other our people have made even more than advertised to be possible also before unlimited sprite and command manager. Platform Builder is just flexible enough to allow you make everything you imagine.
You just have to be ambitious and inventive. Even errors and glitches can't stop you if you want something because PB is auprisingly stable to use and have a lot of other ways also to try.

If you have no other programs nor ideas to get inspired from then I highly would suggest PB. You can be lazy at first but may enjoy later what you have done by yourself very much and that is what may kill your lazyness. ;)

Hello, Jalli! :) Yeah, that is what is very good thing in Platform Builder. It allows to create a complete and good game and serves even them who have no skills in programming but have a lot of ideas and dreams to make reality. PB actually got my attention even its Alpha stage because even then it was more complete than most of toolkits out for fans and it is super easy to use. Now, it is basically a game creator tool rather than a game although systematically it is a game that can read anwrite massive amount of files of data.

Hi, recell-electronics! I share a similar case with you. There are so many things to get inspired from. :) Although, too bad I can't have a job related to computers nor even electronics in general.

Hey,  Casey! It is completely understandable that it can be hard to participate in a global chat if there are much good to work on. And there are also responsibilities at home and at job.
I share the same case with you. :) There are so many things to get inspiration.

Hello, cbecvil! :) Every game needs a time to make. Even if it has been simplifized a lot for us it needs time to make a plot and build design. So your needs for patience is completely understandable. :)

Hi, Fi! :)

Nice little doings with Gizgord. I was sure it is possible to make a very decent Mario game with PB but it is now nice to see Mario running inside the PB engine also. O:-)

imagine if we bumped this everyday until tingthing shares his toughts
Why? ??? Should this be some type of pressure? I am sure Ting_Thing already works hard to make even some of the suggestions reality. ::)

Suggestions / Re: HD UI

It should be not a high priority to do. We have several very nice looking games at Explore by the best creators but those games are so big already that it takes very long to complete the installation. IGP mostly with customs only in the special levels is quite small yet but is impossible to upload by me already.
Most of the people wouldn't use much of the big resources to present a little. Quite a ridiculous also to have a super big 2D game that loads slower than a decent 3D game. :D

Yeah, I understand you! ::) But there is no reason to show such a dissatisfaction because PB has been passed a time when we missed something really good that would not be so basic already a lot of time ago. When those things happen then we have reason to wait for some new good things because the application is for this or will need some extras to make something new more perfect. So it can improve like forever and the hopes by the fans will never end. We should remember that a lot of our suggestions has been already accepted. Ting_Thing has accepted even some of my suggestions(I mean no bug reports and such) and there is no a lot of them who do that. :D

Welcome, Wizard Indie Games!

Nice to see one more real interest by someone new here! :) What else to say? I guess nothing... There are enough people who will come and help out so I have only "Hi!" left to say. ::)

"Never adds basic features"? I often have felt that several people from this forum strive to wait too much from Ting_Thing but this here looks very weird. :o Basically if any of you make a game by yourself and I mean from scratch then the basic stuff is, for example, that you at least would be able to move and jump. PB has everything basic for them who wants to make games easily - it is the main player, some basic enemies, backgrounds, music, etc. but it now also has a lot of different ways to customize things. Have you ever tried other toolkits made for fans? My experience is often that they are always too limited, glitchy, and/or too difficult to make a game with limitations. There is no toolkit or simple game creator other than PB that I have bothered to use so long. :) Even now... Although all of my activity inside PB has been paused for long already. But unlike with the other applications, I didn't stop because of thinking it too limited for my tastes but my goals have just been raised up a bit. I want to make more complicated things by using more knowledge.

I actually have used Clickteam Install Creator by myself. :) Which was a lot of time ago but it is very easy to use and takes no much time to learn. If you don't pay we only see a bit of note once about which program was used to make install applications. I doubt it has been changed.

TingThing, and fellow platform addicts; thank you for allowing something powerful and genius like platform builder to become a thing.

PC.
Hi, projectCrash! :)

I felt the same even before PB came out because I succeeded to find out non released PB in a very early version from YT. Even then it looked capable at least equally with the other toolkits that have been called fully complete but it allowed to make no fan games perhaps completely custom one. It was attractive and it opened the big gate to the "WOW" when we finally could touch this by ourselves. Now, it's a big project like it would have done by a whole team working for money but it is actually made just by one person. :D

I cant beat level 4
Hi, maximun16! :)

I have beaten the whole game so if you can't do it then it became glitchy by the progress to update PB or you simply must practice and try harder. Can you explain what is that which prevents from you beating the level exactly? ::)

Announcements / Re: Platform Builder 8
« on: May 12, 2020, 03:42:01 PM »
Hello Everyone,

I said in a previous announcement that the next version of Platform Builder is going to be bigger than usual. Some of you were wondering if we were talking another major update into Platform Builder 8. The answer is yes!

Work has already begun, and I plan to have it all ready sometime in the early Summer. My Goal for PB 8 is to address some of those spots in PB which seem oddly limiting. As usual, I will be sharing what's coming in the "Coming Soon" page of these forums. In fact, I'll be posting there after I finish writing this announcement.

The Coming Soon page is for registered members only. So if you don't already have a forum account with us, get one! Registration is free.
You have made this really big and businesslike even if the managers can be still glitchy for my game. :) I thought nothing will chance for some amount of time because you are making a very big step by moving from PB 7 to PB 8 but I checked inside to PB recently and actually found quite a lot of new good features although you have not called PB 8 as ready yet. ::)
